In Hunger They Seek (SPIRIT SIGHTING!)

She nodded soundlessly and, somewhat groggily, got up and followed him. Fallon actually had fallen asleep. Outside of the den, the red and black wolf shook herself in an attempt to wake herself up, then she looked up at Blitz and asked, "Together, or individually?" For small game, it seemed better that they split up and try to gather as much as they could, since the others may need a little pick-me-up whenever they arrived. Either way, as she waited for Blitz's answer, she scented the air as well, identifying so many scents that it was almost overwhelming after such an absence of prey in the last few weeks.

Blitz smiled as she joined him, knowing by the look on her face that she had dozed off. He chuckled slightly, nipping her ear affectionately and getting to his feet. "Let's split up and catch what we can for us and the pack when we get the meeting going. They'll probably be hungry as well." He said, knowing she was most likely thinking the same thing. His stomach growled once more, and he willed it to silence itself, for it would give him away in a hunt. Finally it seemed to lie silent, and he grinned, glancing back over at her to wait for her response.

"'Kay," she agreed readily, waving her tail, glad they were on the same wavelength. "See you in a bit!" she told him, licking his cheek in a 'goodbye' and prancing off into the woods, ready to start up this mini hunting trip.

Fallon's spirits soared as she sank low into the brush beneath the trees and hunted. There was so much life! A pair of squirrels quarreled with each other and then chased each other up nearby tree, a mouse darted from underneath a rock into the shelter of a thick bush, and the scents of many other creatures wafted thick as smoke around the wolf. She had to make her way a bit further from the dens, as the wolf scent caused the creatures to congregate farther off, but once engrossed in the hunt, it was not at all difficult, not like it could have been. If Blitz was having her success, everyone would be full for the big hunt.

Blitz smiled as she took off, heading in the opposite direction to hunt as well. He was surprised by his luck and success, and after only twenty minutes, he had already caught enough prey to feed half the pack. He grinned happily, continuing his hunt before slowly beginning to bring his pile of food back to the storage den. Finally he had a decent collection, and he grabbed a few small pieces, laying down and devouring them quickly before yawning softly and stretching out outside of the storage den to wait for Fallon to return.

When Fallon approached the dens with some of the kill in her mouth, she was impressed by both Blitz's efficiency and success. After dropping the prey in the storage den, the female made her way back into the woods for the bit she'd left behind, nodding to Blitz on the way out of camp. She came back with the rest in her jaws, salivating at the thought of this meal. She walked out of the den with a bit of food for herself, and with her stomach growling rabidly, she lay down beside the white wolf and began to eat, the need to fill her belly overpowering her usually dominant need to talk. Soon she had finished and lay with her head on her paws, smiling over at the storage den, pleased that it wasn't empty.

Blitz smiled when Fallon came into view, watching her silently as she dropped off food and then began to eat her own beside him. He sighed softly, resting his head on his paws as he waited for her to finish. They couldn't start anything until at least Molly and Inferno got there, and he hadn't seen Khalessi yet, so they simply had to wait. He yawned softly, closing his eyes and accidentally dozing off.

Fallon smiled to herself as she noticed Blitz sleeping. She'd had her nap already today, so with her head still on her paws, she resolved to stay awake and watch out for any other members. Inferno and Molly would hopefully be here soon, but Khalessi was still absent, though her scent was fresh in the area, and Chaos was, as usual, completely unaccounted for. Forgetting about Chaos, the wolfess relaxed and restfully watched the tops of the trees flicker green and silver in the soft summer breeze.
