Running free!!! Sorta.... (pups)

She was avoiding the tattle tale on purpose, like she usually did. Her brother, Teras, was always getting her in trouble, spoiling her perfectly wonderful schemes. She growled under her breath as she watched him scurry around the den area, searching for her and Bandit in vain. She couldn't help but smile, knowing that he would never find her in time, not before her plan was already in motion. As he darted across the dens to the right, she snuck around the alpha's den to the left, avoiding him easily and tugging at several of the vines that covered the entrance to Blitz's den. When she finished that, she dragged them over to the hunter's den, rigging up a small little trip wire for whoever decided to come out. Her target was usually Fallon, since it was always funny to watch the head hunter react to her little pranks. But today she wasn't quite finished with her scheme.

Today she had more in store for the head hunter. She ran to the nearby stream, carrying clumps of moss to it and soaking them before carrying them back to the hunter's den and placing them just inside, so that the victim would fall into a wet pile of moss when they fell. The whole while she kept an eye out for her obnoxious brother, wondering where the hell Bandit had gotten off to. She had told him what to do, and yet he was not here, or doing what he was supposed to be doing. Whatever, she was almost finished anyways, it was just taking a bit longer than expected. But Fallon was gone for now, so she wasn't too worried about it. Then she repeated the procedure to Coven and Molly's den, having seen them wander off earlier that morning. However, this time, she set up two trip wires, knowing that Coven was more likely to look for that sort of thing and not see the second one in the dark. When she finished, she pranced back to her parents' den, sitting down in front of it and waiting to be found by Teras.

Bleu looked up and smiled innocently as Teras approached. "What are you rambling about, Teras? I'm just sitting here." She said, frowning at him and growling slightly. "Why you always gotta be tattling, even when I'm not doing anything wrong??" She asked, pinning her ears back in annoyance. Then she yawned lazily, stretching her paws out in front of her and behind her as her back arched slightly. "Have you seen Bandit?" She asked, looking up at her brother again and tilting her head to the side slightly.

Now this one was an honest question. She hadn't seen Bandit since they had wandered out of the den, and well, Bandit was useless without her direction. She sighed softly, getting to her feet and stretching once more before rolling her eyes at Teras. "You're not helping at all. I'll go look for him myself." She said, nipping at his ear as she walked by, heading over to the storage den - and away from her contraptions - in search of her other brother.

Bandit sat in the tall weeds by their den, watching from his blurred vantage point as Teras started harassing his sister. He was always trying to tattle, it was so annoying and useless to them. No matter how many times he did it, they would always take the punishment and just figure out some more trouble to get into. He wondered if Teras ever thought about what he would do by himself all day. If Bandit and Blue were stuck in the den, they would no doubt have more fun then Teras would by himself outside the den.

Bandit crouched low, squinting his eyes as he watched his brother carefully. When Bleu left he only smiled then dug his paws a little deeper into the dirt. Suddenly he pushed off, bolting across the few feet that separated him from his sibling and pouncing on Teras with all the force he had generated. Bandit growled while standing above his brother as if telling him not to move 'or else'. "HQ...Tango is down. Over." he eyed Teras evilly then perked his ears as if listening to something important. "Good job Bandit, eradicate the enemy. Tango is not needed for questioning. Over." Bandit wagged his tail at the direct order, he had never been told to eradicate the enemy before. This would be his first time. He looked into Teras' eyes then growled and went for his throat, nipping and shaking at it as ferociously as he was able to. Bandit jumped off his brother prancing in place and twirling around. "Oh yeah, my paws are on fire! I'm on tiptoes, I'm on tiptoes! Can't touch this!" he celebrated his victory then turned to Teras with a smirk. "Wasn't even a challenge"

At bandit's sudden attack on their brother, Bleu turned around and smirked. She couldn't help but laugh in amusement at her brother's silly rambling, but she pranced over, throwing in her own dominant nip at Teras's side before growling playfully and pouncing on Bandit. "Good job Bandit!" She cried, rearing up and flinging her front paws over her larger sibling's back to look over him and at Teras. Their tattle tale brother would never get it.

They would always get themselves into trouble, and they'd almost always get caught. They were used to the punishment, and the reward for their pranks was always well worth dealing with their parents. She nipped playfully at Bandit's ears as she jumped back so all four feet were on the ground, prancing around him and Teras and then finally sitting down near their den entrance. "It's almost time." She said, looking around the den area and waiting for Fallon and Coven to return to their dens.

Bandit grinned as Bleu praised him; tail wagging when she started her affectionate nipping. He turned around to return the pleasure, leaving Bandit completely off guard when Teras tackled him to the ground out of anger. Bandit growled in retaliation at his brother's words, pushing him off and getting up to tease him back. "Fine, all bets in....what are the stakes?" Bandit threatened while already crouching and getting ready to pounce his brother. Even Bleu's warning of it almost being time didn't take his focus away from Teras. " You're just making it an even better reason to kick your butt" he laughed then snorted softly at his previous statement."Like being a tattle tale wasn't enough".

Bleu couldn't help but roll her eyes at her brothers. She was much smaller then both of them, but in her opinion, much smarter as well. When they started to wrestle, she sighed softly, sitting back and watching. "If you lose, Bandit, I'll help him kick your butt." She threatened, knowing that if Bandit lost, she'd lose her help in a ton of pranks, making the big ones impossible to pull off. She needed her brother's help, after all, he was the muscle to her brains. But she wasn't going to get into this fight, she rarely did. She was smart enough to know that when it came to strength, she was no match for her brothers.

Grouchy, the black male stalked into the den site, making a beeline through the center to his - only his for now - den. Molly's abrupt, stubborn departure had left Coven angry and worried (mostly angry because of his worry), and neither hunting nor patrolling had helped soothe him any...especially as the loners were being scented nearer and nearer to the borders.

Coven almost made it through the dens without acknowledging anyone, but a few sharp, young yips caught his ear. And instantly he was wary. With his yellow eyes narrowed at the three notorious troublemakers (Teras was included, in Coven's mind), the wolf make his way to his den, already anticipating another little surprise from them. He'd seen enough tricks played on Fallon to know generally what to look for. Fortunately, they hadn't begun to dig pit falls yet, so walking in the open was safe. Pausing at the entrance of his den, the male tilted his head and gazed closely at the dirt frame. Signs of tampering, followed soon by the discovery of the actual trap, had Coven growling. Once was way too many times for them to have even tried to get him.

Spinning around and still growling in annoyance (and unknowingly dodging, for now, the second trip wire), the wolf began scanning the den site for either Tessa or Sib. Neither was outside, so his best bet was to check inside Tessa's den. How inconvenient for the pups lurking just outside of it. The wolf trotted over quickly, snapping at a pup as he stepped over it to get to the entrance of its mother's den. After a quick peek inside, it was clear that neither of the parents were even here. No wonder their pups ran rampant. Cici was no help in curbing their mischievousness. "Ok, pups," he announced darkly, turning and staring implacably down at the little wolves, "You go dismantle that little rigging of yours, or I'll chew your ears off and feed them to you." He'd love to do worse than that to their parents. Ugh, Sib's kids...

Bleu couldn't help but watch Coven as she spotted him entering the den site. She ignored her brothers and sat back, watching him examine the den entrance and then spin around. Crap, he was heading straight for them. But mom and dad weren't home for him to complain to, and even as he snapped at her, she only sat there. She knew that he'd be in huge trouble if he hurt any one of them, and even she knew that the alpha didn't tolerate harming pups. When he came back from their den and threatened them, her ears flicked backwards in annoyance.

"You can't do anything to us. Even you know Molly wouldn't like having to heal injured puppies." She said, her voice innocent with a hint of confidence. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, and well, no one had made her feel bad about her tricks yet, why would that change now? She figured Teras was cowering pathetically now, and she wasn't quite sure what Bandit was doing. Then again, she really didn't care.

"Or you can just keep your nose out of our business and your big fat mouth shut" Bandit grumbled while planning his means of attack. He lowered to the ground again getting ready to pounce. Figured he would be startled when Coven arrived grumpy and growling as per usual. Bandit jumped sideways turning around to face the big black male and lifting his ears curiously; more in a taunting way as he laughed at Coven's threat. "I don't know Bleu, he looks like an ear eater" he laughed then plopped down on his butt and giggled in retaliation. "Hey Coven, ya think you can get that dirty spot deep down in there?" Bandit tilted his head offering his ear to the male, but he couldn't keep his composure and fell to the ground laughing in a fit and rolling around.

Suddenly Cici appeared from above the den peeking over the edge and jumping down to the groups level. She approached Coven calmly and brushed against him in greeting. "Now now Bandit, you should pick your battles wisely. You might need Coven one day, and consistently teasing him isn't going to be in your favor." The pup sitter looked to Coven and smiled in an attempt to help him keep his cool. "They're just pups, you were one once".

"Hah!! You wish I would!!" he barked back, growling as he readied himself for Bandit's pounce. Though, the sudden appearance of Coven left him surprised, quickly shutting him up as he sat, keeping his head low. The black wolf was scary, by all mean's, and such a grouch. Even though Teras was the one trying to stop his siblings, it seemed it didn't matter, Coven was just mean. Teras remained to the back of the group, quiet and listening, though, a bit relieved when Cici came out. At least now there was no chance of Coven doing anything, cause as far as Teras thought, he would have taken all their ears off.

Bleu couldn't help but glare at Coven, frowning and sighing as Cici arrived. "Finally! The absentee babysitter returns. Where have you been? Mom and dad are gonna be mad when I tell them you left us alone." She said, raising one brow and looking up at the pup sitter with a frown. She could care less what the hell Coven was doing, and as their nanny scolded Bandit, the little female felt like she should defend him. After all, he was her partner in crime, and well, her brother - not like that made much difference, Teras was her brother too.

She remained sitting confidently where she was, not too far from the large black, angry male while she spoke, glancing at Bandit and smirking slightly as she spotted Teras cowering, just as she thought. Finally she decided she was bored and pranced over to Bandit, tackling him playfully and growling as she tugged at his ear and wagged her tail with a muffled laugh.

The insolence of these pups was infuriating. First him and then Cici? When he was a pup, no way would he have even considered acting with the kind of arrogant entitlement that they were - and that was coming from Coven! With a narrow-eyed glare, the black wolf turned briefly to the pup-sitter with a snort. He was a pup once, and that time served as a low-ranking nobody was something these pups desperately needed, or they'd turn out worse than him.

"Fine, Cici. Coddle them all you want. You're not doing them any good," he growled. The wolf took some steps back and turned, baring his teeth at the pups in a warning he hoped they would take seriously. If they came near him or his space again, he'd have zero qualms with giving them a sharp whack in the face.

Coven's stalking figure was impeded by Fallon's bustling entrance into the den site. She skidded to a stop, ramming her shoulder into his. "Whoops!" she apologized, bouncing back and shaking her head before noticing the pups and wagging her tail at them. "Hello, Pups! Hello, Cici!"

"I'd watch your step getting into your den, Fallon," the black male cautioned her before stalking off. "The little whelps have been up to no good again..."

Laughing, Fallon shook her head at his back and commented, "This is why you have no pups, Coven."

Dakota nipped at her brother's side as they made their way towards Coven's den, where she was sure Bleu and Bandit would be up to no good. When they arrived, of course, the other pups were nearby Cici and Fallon while a pissed off looking Coven was storming off. Well, she couldn't say she was surprised. She finally came to a stop as they reached the other pups, wagging her tail slightly and tilting her head as Bleu came bounding over and tackled her, making her yelp as the other female's teeth closed on her ear.

Bleu liked to pick on Dakota, since she was the only pup smaller than herself that she could beat in a play fight. She tackled the littler female to the ground, tugging at her ear and growling playfully as she ignored the adult wolves and the other pups.

Dante wasn't surprised when Coven looked angry storming away from the scene. There was Cici and Fallon, but his attention was quickly diverted when Bleu tackled his sister to the ground, and Dakota let out a yelp. Growling a playful growl, Dante went down into a crouching position. Taking a few steps, he planned his attack. He jumped over his sister and tackled Bleu to the side. This was no Bandit, but it was still a game! "Haha! That's what you get!" Sometime in the future, it wouldn't be surprising if Dante became very protective of his little sister.

Bleu growled in surprise as she was tackled to the ground easily by Dante, hitting it with a thud and an 'umph'. She squirmed beneath him, biting at his legs and growling as she fought him. "Get off me!" She growled, biting at his neck and kicking at him with her rear legs in an attempt to free herself. Her eyes narrowed as her ears pinned backwards, silently plotting on how to get him back for this.

Dakota rolled onto her feet as Dante tackled Bleu off of her, shaking the dust from her fur and grinning as her brother pinned the other little female to the ground. She wagged her tail, laughing lightly and trotting around Bleu while Dante kept her pinned helplessly. She loved it when Dante did that, well, at least when it wasn't done to her. Plus, she didn't have hope of getting up if he hadn't tackled Bleu.

Dante's only goal was to get Bleu off his sister, so when the other pup started getting restless with him on top of her, he jumped off. Sometimes it was just no fun with her attitude; Dante almost knew something was going to happen to him. But he wasn't clever enough to ever realize if she tried to get revenge. "Okay, okay. I'm off!" Dante flashed Bleu a smile, hoping it was enough for an apology. It was definitely much more fun with Bandit.

Cici sighed while looking over to blue and held her tongue as Coven walked away. Perhaps she should warn him of the second trap Bleu had laid out for him, just to let Bleu know that she was always watching, even when it didn't seem likely. The female smiled as Fallon appeared and happily pranced over to her pack mate to greet her with a nuzzle. She laughed at Fallon's remark, knowing full well that it wouldn't be long before Coven and Molly would have pups. Their little fight wouldn't last much longer, she was almost sure of it. "How goes it today Fallon?" Cici grinned, glancing back at the pups as Dante and Dakota arrived to play with the rest.

Bandit turned around to find his brother in the same ole position he usually took to. For some reason this made Bandit mad and in response he yelled at his brother. "Stop cowering! And being so scared all the time. What's wrong with you?" he huffed then snorted and haughtily walked off to join the rest of the pups who were too busy tackling each other. Like most pups Bandits anger only lasted a few more seconds before he calmed down and was smiling again as he approached the other. "Hey guys, where ya been all day? We were starting to think you liked that little hole of yours".

Dante wagged his tail when he saw Bandit coming. Forgetting about how angry he had possibly made Bleu, he trotted over to the big pup. On his way there, he nudged his sister, pushing her over slightly. "Hi Bandit! And what if I do like that hole?! It's comfy." Dante put on a playful pout, but then he continued his tackling spree. Although, he jumped over Bandit, just hitting him a bit with his paw. Crashing on the other side of his pack-pup, he landed with an 'oof!'

As Dante approached, Bandit gave a quirky grin then sat down and huffed for a response. "Figures. Only weaklings would stay hidden in a hole all day" he teased. When Dante tried to tackle him he barked and stumbled in surprise, but fairly satisfied that the pup had missed. He turned on his hind legs and pounced with laughter, landing on Dante and nipping and tugging at his ears. "I'll show you!"

Fallon grinned at Cici and wagged her tail as the pup-sitter welcomed her so warmly. The spunky young wolfess had quickly become one of Fallon's favorites in the pack. Who couldn't love such a happy-go-lucky, laid-back character? If everyone in the pack were like that, it would be heaven. But hanging out with Cici brought it close enough.

Animatedly, the hunter responded, "It goes quite wonderfully, Cici. How about for you? Anything exciting today?" The young grayish wolfess always seemed to be doing well, but Fallon was beginning to worry that more members of the pack were hiding worries. That hardly seemed like an issue for Cici, but as she was high on Fallon's list of 'wolves-who-must-always-be-happy-if-I-can-help-it-because-they're-so-awesome', it never hurt to ask. Hopefully the pups weren't giving their watcher half the trouble they'd consistently been giving the hunter.

As she was on a schedule and had to go see at least Laek soon, Fallon remained standing - pretty much to remind herself that there was something else she had to do, since she could get caught up talking for a while. But it was always a nice break to chat a bit with the sweet pup-sitter, and Eve when she was awake, so Fallon gladly waited to get caught up on any news.
