New toy (roar)

Dakota was glad to be out of the den, and she wandered around the nursery aimlessly, looking for some sort of entertainment. She looked around for a few moments, her eyes finally falling on a large delicious looking stick. That would do, at least for now. She smiled, trotting over and pouncing on the inanimate object and closing her teeth down onto it. Then she picked it up and pranced around with her prize, tripping and stumbling from the size of the stick that she now carried.

Finally she gave up running around with it and laid down to chew on it. In all reality, she had only given up prancing around because she had tripped and fallen on her face, but she would never admit it. So now she laid on the ground, chewing on the end of the stick and tearing it up with her puppy teeth. It was entertaining enough, and she liked the taste of the stick in her jaws.

Dante was sleeping peacefully before he opened his eyes. He wasn't like the other pups in the fact that they wanted to get out of the den and play, although he was quite curious about the outside world. Instead he spent his days sleeping, sometimes outside but he wasn't quite awake yet. He hadn't quite gotten his pup spirit yet. Dante awoke and his sister wasn't beside him. Wondering, he got up and walked outside to see Dakota chewing up a stick. Tilting his head, Dante had a plan. The stick Dakota had was quite big, and he wondered what would happen if he took it. So he hopped over to her and grabbed the stick in his mouth, pulling gently, as if begging for a tug of war competition. His bigger size would overrule, right?

Dakota's eyes lit up in excitement as her brother appeared. She adored her big brother, and when he trotted over and tugged at her stick, she latched onto it and growled playfully. Yeah, he might be bigger than her, but her jaws were strong enough to at least hold onto the stick. He'd probably drag her all over the nursery, but it didn't matter, she just liked playing with Dante. Her tail wagged eagerly as she tugged backwards, trying to dig her claws into the dirt beneath her in an attempt to keep him from pulling the stick away from her. It was her stick, and she wasn't ready to give it up yet.

Dante let out a playful growl as Dakota played along as he knew she would. She held onto it tightly, and Dante pulled backwards, jumping up every now and then. The jumps seemed to do the job, as he attempted to hold onto the branch. He loved playing with his little sister, even though she was born first. Either way, it was always fun to drag her around the nursery, and to chase her around. Fake fighting was what he loved to do. Strange since both his parents were hunters. He dragged her a few feet back, when he did a last jump. His teeth lost hold of the tasty bark of the stick and he fell backwards. Giving a squeak, he landed in a small bush. "I could use a little help!" His small voice cried out.

Dakota growled playfully as he tugged at the stick and pulled her along with him. He could easily drag her around the nursery, and she didn't mind, she loved his attention. Although she was born first, they both acted like she was the younger of the two. She was much smaller, anyways. When he tumbled into the bush after losing his grip on the stick, she dropped the branch, jumping after him to help him out. "Are you ok?" She asked, pulling at the branches that tangled around him so he could jump out of it's grasp. "Are you hurt, Dante???" She asked, nudging her brother and whining softly.

Dante waited for his sister to help him, and easily jumped out when Dakota came to help. Licking his scratches for a moment, he jumped out and picked up the stick. "I'm just fine!" His voice muffled from the branch, "But I have to stick now, yay!" He pranced around with the overly large stick with an intense glory. Although, he did enjoy having Dakota worry so much about him. So he dropped the stick and gave her a playful tackle, careful not to crush her smaller body.

Dakota gasped and cried out when he jumped and stole the stick, prancing around her with it. "Hey!" She barked, getting in a playing position, that is, until he tackled her, making her laugh and buckle under him easily. She never really tried to beat him, since she knew he'd win every time. That didn't mean she didn't fight back. She growled playfully, tugging on his ear and wagging her tail as he pinned her down, her eyes shining as they played. Yes, she adored her brother, and you'd never guess that she had lost a sibling, she was much to happy for that. Maybe that was why she was so attached to Dante, though. It only made sense, right?

Dante laughed as Dakota played along with his tackle. He tried to pull his ear away as he gave a small puppy growl. Eventually, he toppled over to the side and rolled over to his back. His continuous laughter rang into the air as he pawed the empty space. After a bit, he rolled back to his side, looking at Dakota. She was his only sister, she clearly meant a lot to him. But they'd both lost a brother and were only two in the large pack. It made sense that they cared so much about each other. "Hey Dakota! Let's go find the other puppies."

Dakota tilted her head to the side a bit as Dante suggested that they find the other puppies. Yes, she liked playing with them, but Bleu was always getting her in trouble, and she hated it when they made mommy and daddy mad. But Dante wanted to go, so she agreed with an eager nod. She got to her feet, swatting playfully at him and prancing around him for a few moments before she stopped and waited for him to get up as well. "I think I spotted Bleu up to no good near Coven's den." She said softly, wagging her tail and smiling at her brother. She always stuck really close to him when they played with the other pups, mostly because she was the smallest of them all and easily got hurt. He prevented that a lot.

Dante was excited when Dakota agreed to go with him to find the other pups. He loved playing with the other pups, even if they were trouble makers. They were still fun to play with; especially Bandit. Bandit was always a good pup to tackle, their equal sizes playing fair game. But no matter what he did, Dante always stayed near Dakota. Her small size really wasn't an advantage to anything. Maybe she would grow up to be like Mom and Dad; small but powerful! With that in mind, Dante got up, and nipped Dakota lightly on the side as he passed her. Hearing her thought, he headed to Coven's den. Of course they were up to no good!
