Altogether Now!

Blitz couldn't help but be slightly amused and at the same time frustrated with Fallon's automatic response to Chaos's presence. It wasn't the hunter's fault, either. He had been meaning to have a serious talk with the black female, but now as not the time. That would come later, when they could be alone. When she spoke, he smiled, nodding slightly. "I need you to train the warriors. Have them running drills and mock fights, prepare them for anything. We need our pack to be in near perfect shape in case anything happens. I don't foresee a problem, but there is a much stronger loner presence at the borders as of late." He said, glancing over at Pravin and wondering if he'd noticed as well. Hell, the whole pack probably had. Then he looked back at the head warrior. "We'll need larger and more frequent patrols as well. At least once a day around the borders, if not more." He said, knowing it would be a tough job. But he knew Chaos would be able to pull it off.

Chaos, herself, was rather amused by the other female's reaction to her presence, but she did her best to simply not aknowledge her. Instead she focused on Blitz, nodding at his words. "Yes sir." She said softly, taking that as a finalizing statement and turning to leave. She needed to plan, to figure out what she was going to do with the incredibly disorganized warriors. This would be a big task, and she hoped they'd cooperate.

Fallon frowned as Chaos walked off, but it was because of a question that popped up about the warriors, not the fact that the old hag was leaving. Still with a look of contemplation on her face, the female looked over at the alpha. "With Pravin as beta now, we're down to three warriors, including Chaos." Pravin, of course, would still go patrolling, but it was just different, as he was now apart from the main body of warriors. Were three warriors enough for the pack, especially with Blitz's obviously growing concerns about the loners? This Fallon asked, followed by, "You don't think it'd be worth it to train new warriors? We have many good hunters, and Tessa could even be worked with to step up to the position if we needed more..." Even as she said it, the head hunter couldn't imagine any of the hunters as warriors...perhaps Sibirskiy, but he was too valuable as a hunter to let go. Perhaps it wasn't worth it to ask, thinking back on the question, but at least hearing Blitz's thoughts couldn't hurt, though surely he saw what Fallon was figuring out now. Three, plus Blitz and Pravin, would have to do.

Blitz wasn't surprised when Fallon immediately picked up on his concerns at Chaos's departure. He sighed softly, glancing at the beta and then back at the hunter. "Pravin and myself will help, but for now, we'll have to deal. With a wolf a viscious as Chaos, I'm sure we'll be alright for a while. Plus, you never know, maybe one of these little pipsqueak pups will grow up to be the best warrior we've ever seen." He said, hoping to lighten the mood and erase any fears about the borders. Yes, it was a problem, but himself and Pravin would fill both warrior and hunter roles as needed. And he himself could even help out Molly and Rayne if need be, but only a little.

Fallon curled up a lip and turned her gaze to the head warrior's retreating back. "With a wolf as vicious as Chaos," she murmured with a fuzzy tint of a growl, "I worry we'll have yet another warrior of ours out on bed rest." With a shake of her head, the female turned back to Blitz, smiling a little as his last comment sunk in, though still trying to get rid of the dark feeling Chaos's presence always set over Fallon's mood. "Yeah, that'd be great. With Sib and Laek as parents, though, I feel we're looking at some superb future hunters," she declared with a proud grin, glancing over at the dens of Laek and Tessa. Sibirskiy and Laek were magnificent hunters, and Fallon was proud that they were part of the pack. Tessa and Cas's genes didn't seem likely to produce warriors, though they would surely augment the speed Sib and Laek were sure to pass on. "What we really need are pups from you two," laughed the female, playfully whacking Pravin on the side with a forepaw and Blitz with her tail. "Now those pups I can see growing up to be powerhouse warriors."

Blitz's eyes widened slightly as Fallon mentioned pups from him. He was speechless for a moment, at a loss for words as she swatted at him. He finally took a deep breath and shook his head, clearing his throat awkwardly. Now pups weren't the first things on his mind as alpha, and he realized that he had never really thought about it. He would have liked to have a family, but there was too much to worry about here in Silverlight. Plus, who would he have as a mate? He couldn't think of anyone off the top of his head. Maybe he once had his eyes on Khalessi, but she was long gone, to his dismay. But finally he shook his head, narrowing his eyes at the hunter and batting at her ear with his paw, still unsure of what to say in response, figuring that Pravin was just as uncomfortable as he.

Fallon just chuckled as Blitz took a swing at her. Still smiling, the female continued, adding a note of seriousness to her voice, as if the two males weren't paying attention, "Really, it woulod help out the pack, connect everyone a little more, bring in more tough wolves, and you two wouldn't have to be so alone." With a frown weighing down her previously buoyant expression, the head hunter looked directly at Blitz and then Pravin, studying them closely, before nodding once and sitting down between them. "I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner," she mused aloud, though tilting her head and squinting at the ground as if she were talking to just herself. Raising her eyes to Pravin's and Blitz's once more, each in turn, she nodded slowly saying, "Yup, girls are what you guys need. You wouldn't be alone anymore - and that would do both of you some good - and you could have help running the pack. Four heads are better than two, for sure...now who can I set you up with..." Fallon directed her attention to the wolves distantly scattered about, seriously beginning to make lists in her head of who - and how - to set up with the stressed out males. If hunting training was happening tomorrow, then she had time to knead this idea out a little.

Blitz frowned at the hunter as she began to compile lists of females in her head to set up himself and Pravin with. He shot a glance over at Pravin, analyzing his reaction to the whole suggestion. It surprised him that the beta seemed intruiged by the idea, and he couldn't help but chuckling slightly at the way Pravin looked at Fallon. Now that would be a good match. But he said nothing, and instead got to his feet to pounce on Fallon and nip her shoulder as he pinned her to the ground. "You're head hunter, not a match maker!" He growled playfully, nipping her ear and rolling off of her to sit down beside her and swat at her with his paw again.

He wasn't sure about a family, or a female, but he knew that he loved his pack, and Fallon was no acception. She had been one of the original members, and he missed the chances they had gotten to play and simply enjoy life. Sure, he was getting older and in all truth, he probably needed to get to work on that family, but he also had a responsibility to this pack. He wasn't sure where he stood on the idea, but he did know that he wouldn't know where to start, even if there was a female in the pack that he had been attracted to.

Fallon laughed as she looked up at Blitz, shaking her head in chiding disagreement. "Blitzen, I am a wolf of many talents. You shall see that soon." She whacked at his nose with a paw before he rolled off her. Grinning and her whole body wriggling along with her wagging tail, the hunter got to her feet and jumped, placing her paws on Blitz's shoulder, to grab at his ear, tugging it gently for a second before letting go and landing all four feet on the ground again. Their world had been different back when the pack was small, when they had different things to worry about. Blitz had played around more then. Oh well, times changed, and the wolves had to adjust.

Slitting her eyes mischievously, the wolfess looked around the dens as if she could come up with perfect suggestions today. Blitz had gotten her into a playful mood, though, so she was becoming more interested in livening things up over here by playing off Blitz and Pravin's obvious discomfort than actually coming up with good suggestions at the moment. She could work on those later. "Technically, our mate-less females are Eve, Rayne, Molly, Sicily, and Chaos. Oh, and me, of course." She smiled at each of the males in a parody of seduction and continued, getting up to pace between them, "I know Pravin and Eve got along so wonderfully during their first meeting - that's a great sign. But she might be a little old for you...so how about Sicily? I like her already, and her peppiness could do a lot to bring you out of your shell...or drive you deeper into it, but we'll see!" She laughed up at him and swished her tail along his side as she walked by him to circle Blitz. Bumping the white male on the shoulder with her own, she tilted her head and mused, "Now, what you need is someone you've got a lot of history with, someone who knows you well and respects you, well enough. I think we know the perfect wolf...Chaos!" Fallon barked with laughter, leaning against Blitz's side to support her self as she tried not to faint from lack of air. Ideally, her eyes would be open to see the alpha's reaction, but it was not possible, as she was practically dying.

Blitz had given up on arguing with Fallon, and when she decided on Chaos for him, he couldn't help but simply laugh. With another nip at her ear, he rolled his eyes. There was no point in believing that the hunter would try and get them together, since Chaos would never go for it, and well, neither would he. It was simply an amusing comment, but when he heard Pravin's laugh, he glanced over at the beta and narrowed his eyes slightly. "At this rate, Pravin, she'll find someone for you long before she finds someone for me." He teased, too far from the other male to nudge or nip him mockingly.

Again in silence, Coven walked with Molly back to the dens. Molly had things to do here, and he would find things to do. Patrol, maybe? He really liked the idea of Pravin being beta. The more he thought about it, the better of an idea it became. The black wolf would never feel comfortable speaking to - or listening directly to - Blitz again, having put himself for a final time on the alpha's radar a few nights ago, and no way was Coven going to Chaos for instruction if he didn't have to. Pravin was a neutral wolf. It made things nice. But there didn't appear to be a need to get direction today. After giving Molly's ear a quick, reassuring lick, the black wolf left for the storage den to grab a meal and head back to his own to finish.

As the two headed into the densite, Fallon perked her ears in their direction and grinned. She still hadn't gotten to talk to Molly alone since the other day, and now Fallon had fun news of her own to share, but the healer looked somewhat withdrawn still, enough for the hunter to let her have her space for a bit. Instead, the female glanced back at the two males and laughed, breaking in before Pravin could respond to Blitz's jest, "We'll see, Blitz." She nudged his shoulder, resisting the urge to make another joke, as she'd tortured the two quite enough. "I will keep my eyes, open, guys. You two could step up as well." Smiling, the head hunter left them alone finally, walking to the hunters' den to start thinking up a strategy to train the hunters.

Molly frowned as Coven licked her ear and left her, watching him walk away and sighing softly as she turned towards Tessa and Sib's den. First she'd check on the three pups, then she'd head over to Cas and Laek's to check on their two. She moved slowly, taking her time, finally reaching the first of the two and poking her head in. They all seemed to be doing well. Tessa was sleeping, the pups were suckling greedily, that was a good sign. She nodded to Sib, then ducked out and headed over to Laek and Cas's den. She paused outside of it, taking a deep breath and swallowing anxiously, then stepped in, lowering her nose to inspect the two surviving pups. A boy and a girl, both healthy and eating well. Good, at least the parents wouldn't loose another pup. Then, before she could loose her composure, she left the den, walking right at the newly arrived Xerxses by habit, falling back on her ways from their old pack, not even realizing it.

Blitz rolled his eyes as Fallon took off, glancing over at Pravin to see if he could tell what the beta was thinking. Negative. It seemed like no one would be able to get into that head fully. But whatever, he trusted the male, and he had no reason not to yet. He slowly laid down, his ears perking as an injured Xerxses arrived. From the size of the wound, and it's location, he already had an idea of how it had happened.
