Altogether Now!

Blitz continued to travel alongside Cici, supporting her when she stumbled and remaining surprisingly patient at the slow pace. It was probably a good pace for Pravin, as well, since he still had a sort of limp from the bear fight. Blitz had gotten Molly's help immediately and his wounds had healed nicely. Finally they reached the dens, about early evening. He came to a stop at the meeting rock (yes, something I just added), tilting his head up and howling for the pack. He figured he'd just pull the meeting now, Molly could look at Cici while he addressed the pack. Then he sat, hoping the female beside him would do the same. He didn't bother to get up on the rock, but instead remained beside her as he waited for Pravin to join them as well.

Chaos growled in annoyance at the alpha's call, but got up anyways, stretching and exiting her den to walk slowly to the meeting rock. She kept her distance from the pack, even jumping up on the rock and laying down to watch the proceedings from above. If Blitz wasn't going to use it, it was a nice way to stay away from the pack and avoid socialization and contact. But she did manage to snarl at the new female in a warning as she did most new members upon their arrival. Better scare them off right from the start, right?

Tessa lifted her head as she heard Blitz's howl, frowning as she knew she couldn't join the proceedings quite yet. She could hardly leave her den lately. The pups still cuddled against her, too small to make the journey from the den and into the world of the pack just yet.

Molly slowly lifted her head as Blitz's call echoed through their den, her ears flicking backwards at the requirement of getting up. She leaned against Coven, knowing that the alpha's call would wake him instantly as well. She rose slowly, stretching and yawning tiredly before licking the black male's nose affectionately. "Looks like Blitz is calling a meeting." She said, nipping Coven's ear and smiling down at him, not used to being taller than him since the only time she was was when he was laying down and she was standing.

Cas jolted awake at Blitz's call. He didn't think he'd ever get used to the pack noises. After his run in with Inferno, he didn't think he'd ever stop flinching. But he realized what was happening a few moments later and licked the base of Laek's ear affectionately, getting to his feet and nudging her awake. "Laek, love, time to get up." He said softly, licking her cheek and waiting for her to rise as well. He doubted the pack would wait long, and he didn't want to get in more trouble for being late.

Xerxses had slept in his brother's den once again the night before, and he knew that he would soon have to move to another den, but for now, he exited the alpha's den and moved to sit near his brother, his eyes examining the new female curiously. He avoided Chaos, not really in the mood to deal with her aggression, and laid down on the opposite side of Blitz, wagging his tail and nipping his brother's side affectionately while he waited for the rest of the pack.

"Meeting?" echoed the wolf, stretching and then rising to his feet. Since he'd been in the pack, the alpha had never called a meeting. Something big must be happening, which was exciting. He jostled Molly with a playful growl on his way out in retaliation for the nip, but he was too interested in this new phenomenon to linger in the den any longer. After waiting and looking back to make sure Molly was with him, Coven made his way to the loose gathering of wolves around the Meeting Rock. He sat down and pricked his ears at the new female, unable to help smiling at her chubby young face in amusement. Just from looks, she would make a dynamic addition to the pack, that is, if this meeting wasn't about an execution or something horrible to do with the newcomer.

Fallon blinked her eyes rapidly, lifting her head drowsily from her paws at the call. Ooh, a meeting! It had been a while since the last one...Khalessi had been in attendence, hadn't she? She quickly stretched out her back legs by kicking them a little as she stood, and then she trotted out of the hunters' den and over to the group, spotting Molly and making a beeline to her unoccupied side. Nudging Molly's shoulder meaningfully with her own, Fallon made eye contact and widened her eyes in an expression that asked silently, 'how'd it go?' in reference to yesterday. Obviously, Fallon had instigated a good reunion, and she was playfully eager to claim that glory. For once, something else was more important than a new wolf, but she'd get to Cici later.

Eve meandered into the clearing, tilting her head at the leader questioningly.
Never really having gotten to interact with the austere brother of the alpha, Eve chose to sit by him, not talking, but shuffling up her pack contacts anyway.

Molly stumbled slightly at Coven's jostling, and she growled playfully as she scrambled after him, nipping his shoulder as she came up along side him to sit down at his side. She did her best not to lean against him too much, for the sake of the pack, and tilted her head to the side curiously as she spotted the new female. Instantly she could tell something was wrong, and her eyes moved to the female's paws. They seemed to be something she was favoring and she seemed to be in pain. But she was soon distracted by Fallon, whom she nipped playfully and rolled her eyes in an 'I'll tell you later'. But she did turn to lick Coven's neck affectionately to give Fallon an idea of what had gone down.

Blitz watched the pack join him, nipping Xerxses's ear affectionately and nodding to Coven and Molly as they arrived. He could already tell that Molly had noted Cici's injuries, and he figured she'd get to it soon. But for now, she seemed distracted by Fallon, making him frown and pin his ears back at the two females for their distraction. But Cici wasn't dying, so he didn't press the issue.

Xerxses lifted his head and got into a sitting position as the older female came up on his side, making note of the fact that he had not yet met her. He nodded his head slightly in greeting, waiting for Blitz to begin the meeting. Then again, there were several pack members missing. He didn't expect to see Tessa, and he wasn't sure if Laek would be present, but he hoped to see a solution to the problem of Cas in this meeting.

A growl rumbled in Chaos's throat as Coven appeared, although it ceased when Molly licked his neck. That damn male had corrupted the healer. Whatever. Her eyes moved to the other wolves, obviously not caring to be here surrounded by the pack any more than she wanted to be awake right now.

Laek awoke at the sound of Blitz's howl, and at the feel of Casanova moving beside her. "I'm getting up." She said shortly. She wondered what Blitz was calling a meeting for, but she hoped it would resolve Cas' and her own worries. Hopefully Blitz wouldn't sentence Cas to anything. But what else could be so special to call a meeting for? She got up, albeit slowly. She was on her feet eventually and walked on, making sure that Cas was beside her. Walking up to the meeting rock, she took note of all the wolves in the pack. There were quite a lot, and she knew they were all curious. She smiled a hello to everyone she knew.

Pravin followed Cici and Blitz, watching them whisper a small exchange. He didn't bother to question it as they arrived at the den area quickly. He stayed behind the pair, sitting, even as Blitz called for a pack meeting. What could there be a meeting for? But even so, he saw all the wolves awaken and come out of their dens. Pravin didn't think he'd ever seen all the wolves stand together before, or be in such close range to each other. His ears perked up at a familiar snarl, and saw Chaos lounging on the central rock. Of course. He thought, knowing how she could be with newer wolves.

Blitz smiled as the pack assembled. He hadn't really expected to see Tessa or Sib present, for he knew they were busy caring for their newborns. He glanced up at Chaos as she snarled, but he let it go...this time. Finally he took note of those present, realizing that there wouldn't be any one else appearing. "Alright everyone, I have a few announcements to make." He said, getting to his feet, grateful that the majority of the pack was sitting down. "First of all, this is Sicily, our newest pack member. She will be stepping up as a pup-sitter to help out our two new mothers." He said, smiling at Laek as he said so. "Secondly, I would like to propose a new wolf for the beta position." He said, knowing that few wolves in the pack expected him to promote anyone. He paused for a few moments, finally looking back at Pravin. "Pravin, will you be beta male of Silverlight?" He asked, knowing there was no one else here better for the job.

Molly tilted her head to the side as Sicily was introduced, and she let her eyes wander down to her paws once more. Finally, she couldn't help herself, and she nudged Coven's shoulder gently and got to her feet, making her way through the group and to Cici's side. "Let me see your paws." She said softly, leaving introductions to later. She figured that the female was intelligent enough to know that she was the healer.

Xerxses looked over at Blitz in surprise as he asked Pravin to be beta. His ears pinned backwards at his brother's choice, only because he wanted the position for himself. But he forced himself to remain silent, and instead looked back at Pravin curiously, keeping his opinions to himself. After all, he didn't really know much about this other male.

Chaos's snarl echoed through the dens as Blitz spoke to Pravin. She still disliked the large, aloof male, and she was obviously displeased with the alpha's choice. But she forced herself to growl quieter, not wanting to upset Blitz or openly disrespect his judgement. She trusted him, and she let his decision go with nothing but a rumbling growl in her throat.

Fallon grinned at Molly's little preview. Yeah, she so owed Fallon. With joyful smugness, the female wiggled and sat up straighter to peer around for Laek. There she was. Cas still had a ways to go to prove himself enough to earn a friendly nod, but Fallon exuberantly returned Laek's smile. It was good to see her friend doing so well, and it would be better when there were new puppies to play with, which would also mean that Laek could soon join the hunters again.

Finally, Blitz spoke. So Sicily was the new member...and she was a pup-sitter. Fallon tilted her head adoringly at the new wolfess. Already she liked her, and she'd be sure to meet her soon after the meeting, which worked out since Molly had just headed off toward her as well.

At Blitz's second bit of news, Fallon's jaw dropped. Snapping it shut quickly, the female leaned her head forward to stare at Pravin, not wanting to miss his reaction. The way Blitz had announced this, it sounded like Pravin wasn't aware of Blitz's consideration of him for beta. She thought it was a great idea. It was horrible that the comparison flew so quickly to her mind, but it could not be denied that there were a lot of similarities between Inferno and Pravin, which was a seriously consoling thought. When Fallon had taken Khalessi's old position, she'd almost cried, and it probably would have happened now if it didn't feel like Pravin fit so well into the vacancy Inferno had opened up. Except, thanks to her talk with Pravin the other day, she could trust the male to stay with the pack. That was probably the most comforting thought.

Oh, so she really was just a newcomer. Surely that wasn't what this meeting was called for?Then came the bigger piece of news. Coven's first reaction wasn't to look at Pravin, it was to gauge everyone else's reactions. Too many emotions were flitting across Fallon's face, so he skipped her and focused on Xerxses and Chaos. Both were emanating the same feelings, and both were understandable - Chaos because she disliked everyone, and Xerxses because he definitely was a power-monger. Coven was a little surprised that it hadn't been Xerxses, the alpha's brother, who was just as competent as Pravin, though more new to the pack. But neither Pravin nor Xerxses interacted much with anyone other than Blitz, so did time in the pack matter? Shifting his gaze finally to Pravin, Coven studied him with as much curiosity as everyone else, wondering as well what had made the large male stick out to Blitz.

Eve seemed to be the only one in pure, unquestioning agreement with Blitzen so far. As Pravin was named the candidate for the beta position, the brown wolfess smiled and nodded in agreement, not paying any attention to the reaction of the white male beside her. From the beginning, her journey that first day into the pack lands, Eve had liked Pravin and seen sobriety and patience, skills that would be strong assets to a leader. She had also respected him immediately, not because of his size but because of the respect and consideration, even kindness, he'd given to her tired old self. Pravin was an excellent choice.

Laek smiled at the newcomer as Sicily was introduced, wagging her tail at the thought of having even more pack mates. But then Blitz announced his second item of business and it seemed to shock everyone, Laek included. She wasn't entirely sure what to think, in all reality. She hadn't really associated with the aloof male, but who had? Looking around, she saw the varied reactions, it was interesting really. But mostly, Laek looked at Pravin, trying to read his face.

Pravin remained silent as Blitz introduced Sicily to everyone, and watched everyone forget she was there for a moment when Pravin was asked to fill the Beta position. His ears perked up and he gave Blitz a questioning face. He almost doubted that he was being given the position. In fact, he almost denied it on the spot. He'd never been given leadership, nor did he ever desire it. But maybe it fit here; Silverlight felt a little different than other places had, and this pack needed another leader.

Pravin stared at the Alpha before looking over at how the others would take it. Chaos and Xerxses had anger running about them, others had surprise woven into their faces. He hesitated a bit, but sat straighter as he looked back to the expecting Blitz. "I'd be honoured to, Blitz." Where that answer had come from, Pravin didn't know. He had been on the brink of denying the request, almost sure he wasn't fit for the job. Almost sure that no one would accept him as Beta, sure that he didn't know how to lead. Somehow he let his mind speak for his own, unable to control what came out of his mouth.

Blitz ignored the confused and questioning looks from the rest of the pack, watching Pravin and waiting for his response. When the other male accepted the position, the alpha smile. "Wonderful." He said, nodding to the new beta male and turning back to the pack. "Now that all of that is taken care of, I would like to address the lingering issue of Casanova. I know you have all been wondering what I will decide, especially you two." He said, looking over at Cas and Laek. The rogue male looked incredibly nervous, as if he would melt from the heat that came from his anxious and loudly beating heart. But Blitz continued shortly. "I have decided that Casanova will stay in our pack as omega." He said, nodding to the male. "I expect each and every one of you," he said, pausing to look up at Chaos especially, "to treat him as a part of this pack, as well as take into consideration that the position omega is not simply a wolf that everyone pushes around. Casanova will be taken care of by the pack and welcomed in as a part of the family. I don't care what your feelings are towards him, he's not going anywhere. However, Casanova," he said, addressing the small male, "you hold the lowest ranking position in this pack and you are expected to behave as such. Is this understood?" He asked, looking down at the odd looking male as he spoke and waiting for confirmation of his words. After a few moments and Cas's confirmation with a whine and a nod, Blitz continued. "As for Laek's pups, I expect that each and every one of you care for them and treat them as they were part of the family and care for them as such. There will be complete acceptance of these pups when they come into the world. For I know we all love Laek and will love her offspring just as much." He said, looking down at Laek and smiling. Finally he looked up at the pack, addressing all the other wolves seriously. "Does anyone have any objections?" He asked, looking directly at Coven as he said this. He was no fool, he knew that Coven had questioned his leadership from time to time. He could see it, ever time Inferno had questioned him, he had seen the look of agreement on Coven's face. But he didn't let his gaze linger long, and instead turned to stare down Chaos who was growling in annoyance on top of the rock.

Cas froze as he was mentioned, holding his breath as his heart pounded in his chest while he listened silently. But when it was said that he could stay, he nodded and whine as an acceptance of the position, but he also glanced over at Laek, elated that he was allowed to stay with her. But now his eyes searched the pack, looking for their reactions, knowing that most of them disliked him greatly.

Molly continued to work on Cici's paws as Blitz talked, listening but not reacting to all of the news. She had expected most of it, and she trusted Blitz's judgement. She assumed that Coven questioned it, and she did manage a glance back at the black male that she adored, curious to see his reaction. When she spotted Blitz watching him, she swallowed nervously. Come on Blitz, don't scare him away from me. She silently begged the alpha, looking over at Coven with a concerned frown as Blitz turned to Chaos. She hoped to see that reasurring light in his eyes that told her he was staying with her, but she feared that Blitz's attention would strengthen his desire to leave.

Xerxses was rather indifferent when Blitz announced Cas's position, he was too busy mentally trashing Pravin about the position. But he'd get over it eventually, and he silently laid down, resting his head on his paws and simply waiting for the meeting to end.

Coven couldn't help narrowing his eyes at Blitz, holding his gaze for a moment before shrugging and looking away toward Pravin. If there was something he objected vehemently to, it wasn't like he was going to challenge Blitz or break the rules in defiance. He'd just leave. Blitz's little staring contest meant nothing. But there were no objections from the black male. As long as Cas didn't cross him, he could care less what Laek's mate did here in the pack. When Blitz's stare moved on to Chaos, Coven felt another one grab him. It was Molly. Still in a mood from Blitz, Molly got the same 'you know your question's ridiculous, don't you?' look, though this one was softer and almost chiding. Of course he was staying with Molly.

Fallon tilted her head and smiled as Pravin accepted the position. If he felt he could do it, then she trusted him as well and would follow him. Her rapt attention turned to Blitz as he began to discuss the issue of Casanova. Good call: omega. She knew she'd be able to live with that. As for accepting Laek's pups, there was no issue there.

Wiggling again, she swept her gaze around the group of wolves, trying to figure out what she would do after the meeting ended. She really wanted to see Laek, though Casanova's presence still was deterring her a bit from approaching. Perhaps she'd meet the newcomer. Or congratulate Pravin? Already, Fallon had moved on from the drama and was anxiously waiting for the opportunity to mingle.

Pravin nodded as Blitz commented on his acceptance as Beta. It'd be interesting to see how he would do, and Pravin almost couldn't wait to begin. He glanced at Casanova, glad to see that he and Blitz thought the same fate for the now-omega. Blitz gave them a lecture on how to treat the omega, and Pravin made sure to note the reactions. But there was clearly less than there were when he was announced Beta. News of Laek's pups seemed to lighten things up.

Laek wagged her tail a bit as Blitz announced that Casanova would stay as omega and that her pups would be welcomed as regular pack members. This made her glad that the family could stay together here in Silverlight. Looking sideways at her mate, she gave him a simple smile. She wasn't sure who else was glad that he was allowed to stay, but she doubted many of them were. Now just to await the pups.

Finally Blitz sat, signalling that the pack meeting was over and he was open to questions if anyone wanted to approach him with any. He had no problem answering their questions and he wanted to make sure they were happy and content with his decision. But he knew that not all the wolves would accept it readily, and he knew that Cas would still have some trouble getting integrated with the pack, but he knew they'd get there.

When Blitz finished the meeting, Xerxses stood, wandering off towards the edge of the dens and laying down near the den furthest from his brothers. It was obvious where he now planned to sleep, and obvious that he disliked being overlooked for the beta position. But given time to cool off, he'd get over it.

Molly's ears flattened and she frowned slightly at the look Coven shot her in a sort of 'I know, I'm sorry' for not trusting him. She watched him for a few more moments, making sure that he had seen her apologetic look, and then turned to continue her care of the newcomer. When she finished, she gave her instructions carefully. "Make sure you're not doing a lot of walking around in the next few days. You need to give these cuts time to heal up if you want to be able to walk in a few years. Understand?" She said, making sure that Cici understood her instructions and would obey them. She knew exactly what had happened, this female had likely come into the lands from the ridge, a horrible place in Molly's opinion. Too many injuries had come her way from that stupid ridge. When she finished, she returned to Coven's side, nudging his neck and licking his chin. "Sorry." She said softly, reaffirming her earlier apology in words.

When the meeting ended, Chaos get to her feet and leaped from the rock, landing inches from Cici and snarling threateningly. But she was cut off by Blitz, and she snorted, submitting to the alpha and turning away to head off towards the springs. She'd be back later, and hopefully she had let the newcomer know to stay out of her way. The last thing she needed was an obnoxious youngster harassing her.

Cas smiled at Laek as she looked over at him, licking her ear affectionately as he felt Fallon's gaze on him. She seemed to want to talk to Laek, but he had a feeling that she had ill feelings to him. He knew why, and he had been meaning to talk to her about it. He had given her a terrible impression of himself, and he regretted doing so ever since Laek had come into his life. But Fallon seemed to avoid him, and he had never managed to get a chance to talk to her about it.

After a quick 'it's alright' flick of his ear toward Molly, Coven's attention moved to Xerxses large white form sulking away. Aha! With a quick flash of a grin, the wolf picked up on what the warrior was angry about. It did seem like a major dis, especially if Blitz hadn't explained anything. Coven was still smiling in wry satisfaction when Molly came up to him. "Don't apologize, Molly. I do know it's partly my fault that you feel you have to question me," he told her in a low voice for her ears only, licking her cheek afterward. "But I promise, I won't leave you." He might beg for her to come along if staying in the pack became less of an option, but no way would he be ever take off permanently alone. "How's the new kid?" he asked, voice raised to normal levels as he began to head over to the healer's den to lay outside. Chaos was obviously not sending out any patrols, so he was going to take advantage of that and stick around for a while.

Finally, the meeting was over! So many options...Fallon crossed a few of them off immediately. Xerxses was too unfamiliar and too majorly aloof and too angry right now for her to consider talking to, Laek was still shadowed by Cas, Molly would spill later but was obviously preoccupied for now, same with Coven, and Chaos...pfft. That left Pravin and Blitz. With a smile, Fallon pranced over to them, tail waving behind her. "Congratulations, Pravin!" was her greeting. "When did you decide on this, Blitz?" she asked, turning to the alpha and nosing his shoulder. It'd been a while since she'd talked to him, or since he seemed to want to talk to anyone really, and it was nice that she could catch him, for once.

Pravin watched as the group dispersed after the meeting. Xerxses left in a huff, apparently angered by Blitz's decision. The others didn't seem to hold much of a grudge, (except Chaos, of course,) and even Fallon had come over to congratulate him. He nodded his thanks, but looked towards Blitz at the next question. "Yes, I would also like to know." It was still a wonder that Blitz had chosen him! Out of all the wolves here, especially his own brother! This new beta position also meant that he needed to interact with the other wolves. Interact with more than loners, Blitz, and Fallon. Pravin knew that might be troubling.

Laek noticed Fallon's gaze at them as well. Nuzzling Cas, she spoke lightly, "I'm tired, I'm going to say hi to Fallon and then go back to the den. Okay?" She let him know because she knew he worried about her. She lifted herself from the ground and walked over to the group of three. Nudging her old friend, she gave Fallon a smile. It'd been a while since they'd last talked, but Laek supposed that was because of Casanova. Turning, she looked at Cas, knowing he'd be watching her. She walked off in the direction of the den they had shared, but she collapsed right in front of it with a whine.

Blitz smiled as Fallon was the one to approach him after the meeting. He glanced over at Pravin as the head hunter congratulated him, and he turned back to her as she questioned his timing on the decision. When Pravin echoed her question, he sighed and addressed them both. "A few days ago, to be honest. I've been trying to decide for a while, and trust me, I've been over every possible candidate in my head. Pravin, you have been the most loyal, most trust worthy wolf in this pack other than Fallon and Molly in my opinion, and since they both hold head healer and head hunter positions, it really wasn't a hard decision. You were the perfect choice. I think you'll do quite well." He said, nudging Pravin's shoulder encouragingly. He watched them both as the words sank in, and honestly, it was true. None of the other wolves in the pack would be able to handle the position. He knew his brother would take the news hard, but Xerxses was too proud to think clearly when it came to beta responsibilities. He let his eyes wander over the pack, smiling as Laek approached and nudged Fallon. He was grateful for the head hunter, someone in the pack that got along with everyone. He watched them for a moment, watching Laek briefly as she walked away and then turning his attention back to Fallon and Pravin.

Molly didn't speak as Coven told her not to apologize, but she followed him to the healer's den, laying down beside him and looking over at Cici as he spoke of her. "She'll be fine, just as long as she stays off her feet long enough for those cuts to heal. That damn ridge is causing me so much extra work around here." She said, remembering all of the members that had entered with injuries from the rocks on the ridge. But suddenly, movement by Laek and Cas's den caught her eye and she lifted her head from where she had placed it on Coven's paws and perked her ears. She was up on her feet in a moment, leaving Coven by the healer's den and rushing to the collapsed female's side. "Laek! Are you alright? Is it the pups?" She asked, not giving the female a chance to answer before she was nudging her to her feet, looking over at the only other female nearby for help. "Fallon, come help me get her inside!" She said, snarling at Cas as he tried to nudge his mate worriedly. "Get the hell out of the way!" She growled, snapping at him aggressively like she never had to anyone and making him scramble backwards out of the way as she helped Laek inside. Molly had a bad feeling about this, and she wasn't sure why, but she needed to work, and she needed Fallon to help. Since Rayne seemed to be nowhere in sight. She finally managed to get Laek into the den, but she turned around to be greeted by Cas's worried face, making her snarl and snap at him again, sticking her head out of the den and looking over at Coven. "Coven, please, can you get him out of here?" She begged the black male, knowing that Cas was only worried, but also knowing that she wouldn't be able to convince the small male that he was only making things harder.

Cas jumped as Laek collapsed, whining as Molly appeared instantly and lashed out at him. But he couldn't bring himself to leave his mate's side, and even as Molly chased him from the den he hovered anxiously, not realizing that he was in the way. He had never been present for the birth of his pups before, and he cared so much about Laek that he couldn't bear to be separated from her now.

The female butted her head gently against Laek's neck as her friend came up and greeted her. It really had been too long since they'd talked, and she would make sure that a get-together would happen soon. Both Laek and Fallon needed a girl's night.

After Laek headed off, Fallon looked back up at the males, smiling broadly as Blitz listed the factors in his decision. She loved that Blitz was fair about this, and that he had taken Xerxses' flaws into account when choosing made her respect him even more. "You will do well, Pravin," she agreed, turning to him. It would be wonderful for both the pack and Blitz to have a second leader to help out. Before she could say anything else, Molly's cry to Laek nabbed her attention. Fallon was on her feet and rushing over before Molly even called her, jumping in immediately to follow the healer's instructions, flinching a little in surprise as the white wolfess lashed out at Cas. Once inside the den, the head hunter stood over Laek, eyes wide but ears pricked in focus as she watched Molly, ready to bolt off to accomplish any task she was set out to do, though she mostly expected to be sent off as before. But where was Rayne?

Coven followed the little group at a distance, as had happened with Tessa, close enough to hear but far enough to not impede their progress. The look on Molly's face was worrisome, and that coupled with her uncharacteristic harshness toward Cas - she hadn't been this way with Sib - had Coven worried for Laek, even though he didn't know what could be wrong. Without needing to be told twice, the black wolf stepped closer, far enough from Cas and the doorway to not be in the way, but close enough for the other male to clearly hear the warning growl directed at him. Coven was pretty sure that their first encounter had not been forgotten by the smaller male, and this one warning to move off and stay back would probably suffice. The warrior's glare and bared teeth demanded quick obedience, or he was going in after Cas, and not nicely.

Pravin nodded, understanding now that Blitz had really taken everything into consideration. And he'd had quite the time to think it all through as well. "Thank you." he responded to both of them as they said they knew he would do great. He really did feel honoured that Blitz thought he were loyal and trust worthy, that he could help run this pack. He knew Fallon also thought that way, but knew she could be biased because she was the one wolf he'd spent the most time with here in Silverlight. Pravin's thoughts were interrupted when he heard cries and Fallon rushed away. He gave a worried glance to the alpha.

Laek felt as Molly and Fallon helped her into her own den, little whines helped fill the silence between Molly's commands and out lashes to Cas. In fact, Laek was a bit surprised as Molly seemed to blow up. But she didn't have much time to think about it. She was in her den and she believed the pups were coming. But she knew Casanova would be a nervous wreck not being able to be here with her. Sprawled on the floor, she attempted to take deep breaths, seeing Fallon standing worriedly over her.

Molly got to work immediately, proping Laek's head up on some soft moss and casting a grateful glance to the entrance as Coven's snarl warned off Cas. Then she turned back to Laek, telling Fallon to go grap the bundle closest to the entrance of the healer's den and bring it back. Laek's pups had taken their sweet time in their mother's belly, and now Molly knew that giving birth to the large forms would be incredibly difficult for Laek, such a small female. But she was determined to do her best and prevent as much pain as possible, but she couldn't help the worried expression that creased over her brow. "Ok, now Laek, I need you to take deep breaths for me, focus on my face. That's good, now, stay with me. Deep breaths, it's not quite time to push yet." She said softly, trying to keep her voice calm and soothing as she coached the female carefully. This would not be an easy delivery, and the sooner Fallon returned with the herbs for Laek's pain, the better.

Blitz knew that Molly had things under control, but her lashing out at Cas had him a bit worried for Laek. But going over there, he knew would just be making things worse. So he remained beside Pravin, watching the den worriedly just like the rest of the male wolves were doing. Finally he found himself on his feet and pacing nervously, knowing that he wouldn't know what to do if something happened to Laek. But he trusted Molly, and right now, the life of both Laek and her pups was in the head healer's paws.

Cas flinched as Coven's snarl chased him from his den, and he crouched low to the ground submissively, still frightened of the large black wolf from the encounter with Inferno. He couldn't keep his eyes off the den, though, and the worried look on Molly's face had him shaking nervously. He hadn't been here long, but he'd never seen the pack healer act like that. Something was wrong, and he knew it. If something happened to Laek, he'd never forgive himself.

At Molly's request, Fallon darted off like a three-toned bullet. Inside the healer's den, she grabbed the package Molly described and ran off again, realizing that organization was a gift and blessing. Thank goodness Molly had that. She raced inside Laek's den and dropped the package by Laek's head, once again looking at Molly with a blank face, just ready to move when needed. "What do you need, Molly? Laek?" Fallon whispered to the two, scared of raising her voice too much. She felt pretty worthless right now, but if there was anything possible she could help with, she'd be on it.

Pravin watched the panic from afar beside Blitz, but before long the large alpha was pacing, full with worry. The beta wasn't sure if he had the right to comfort the other, not knowing exactly what was going on. He could see the worry on everyone's face: on Molly's and Coven's trying to keep Cas away. On Cas' own, caring for his mate. On Fallon's as she rushed past the pair with a bundle in her mouth. Pravin didn't know Laek enough, but he worried too, knowing that if something happened to her, the pack's mood would plummet.

Laek was careful to follow Molly's instructions and kept looking at the healer's face. There was no missing the look of worry on Molly's face, and everyone else just beyond her. Fallon dashed off and returned based on Molly's orders, and Laek wondered how it couldn't possibly be time yet. Her head lay heavily on the soft moss, and Laek tried to distract herself, and not to think of the additional pain she knew was coming.

Molly was relieved when Fallon returned quickly with the herbs, and she opened the package and instructed Laek to chew and swallow it's contents. That would help with some of the pain, but there was no getting around it for the poor female. "Alright Laek, your pups are coming a bit late, so they're going to be a bit bigger than average. From what I can feel, they're turned the right way, although I'm not quite positive how many there are." She said, running her muzzle over the other female's belly to try and figure out it's contents. But there really was no way to tell for sure. "The herbs were for the pain, but I will warn you, this is going to hurt. Are you ready, Laek?" She asked, moving behind the female to check the progress. She was ready to push, and she looked up at the straining female's face and nodded. "Push now Laek, push!" She cried, encouraging the female as she prepared to help the delivery along as much as she could from where she was.

Unsure of what to do, Blitz found heading to the healer's den and retrieving another bundle and carrying it to the den where Laek was giving birth. From what he had observed, Molly would need this to clean Laek up and care for her after it was all over. Laek's pups were late, and Blitz knew from experience that it was unlikely for mothers to survive such things, let alone function properly afterwards. With Molly at her side, Laek had a higher chance of survival, but she would need these herbs and plants to aid her strength. He set them down in the entrance, nudging them inside and turning to nudge Cas over towards Pravin. There was no use having him whining outside of the den and only making Laek more stressed. He was grateful when the small male cooperated, and he placed the young wolf between himself and Pravin almost as if to shield him as he watched the den and waited.

Cici was grateful for the help Blitz provided and automatically considered him to be one of the nicest wolves she had ever met. She imitated him as he sat when given no orders and watched aqs he called to he others of his family. The first to arrive was a female that she watched jump high up onto a rock. Cici's tail started to wag yet again in excitement and yelped a form a greeting to the female. When answered with a growl Cici's ears flattened and she looked away as her excitement instantly died. As the others started to gather around she started to feel more self conscious about herself and backed away a few steps to be able to hide her face and herself behind the alpha's larger frame.

She remained like this, unable to see the rest of the pack members, until another female approached her from beside. This one seemed more friendly than the last which got Cici's hopes back up rather quickly. "Molly?" she questioned while giving a quirky smile. Without an answer the small female ollapsed to the ground and rolled over on her back with all four paws tucked to her belly. Her tongue lolled off to the side as she watched the female become engulfed with her red stained paws then tilted her head all the way back so she could see what was going on.

When Blitz announced Pravin's new position she barked in excitement trying to get a good view of him while staqying on her back. "Yay!...much better than a warrior position" she whispered then nodded as if she needed approval of her opinion.

For the remainder of the announcements Cici was quiet, being as she didn't even know who Cas was or what an Omega position was as well. She made note that shewould have to ask him when she got the chance then watched as Blitz disbanded the meeting. when Molly finished Cici rolled over onto her stomach and sat up studying her paws and the ground as she listened to the healers words. Before she could get out a word however the female was already heading away and Cici sulked. "But...but...I have to explore..." she mumbled softly as the healers form disappeared into the mass of wolves.

Saddened by her state the female layed back down, placing her head on her paws and watching as the activity seemed to be picking up. Apparantly someone was going into labor, but Cici was unable to get over to where all the commotion was hapening, as it was impossible to do so without walking. With a sigh she had to focus her attention on the different games she would play and adventures she would go on with the pups once they were up some size. She figured hide and seek in some tall grasses would be fun, and oh!, she definitely had to be there their first time in water. Just the thought alone got her excited again and she wondered how long it would be before she could do all those things again.

Seemingly glued to the spot, all Pravin could do was sit there and watch, hearing the numerous cries from both Molly and Laek, as well as the warning snarls coming from Coven. As Cas was pushed over to sit next to him, Pravin gave an acknowledging nod, almost wishing to tell him Laek would be okay. Pravin wanted to comfort, but could it work this time?

Laek listened carefully to Molly's words as she picked up the herbs, chewing and swallowing them as she went. They were to help the pain, but even without the healer telling her, she knew it would still be painful. The pups were late and they would be bigger than usual and Laek just wanted to get it over with and done. Blitz appeared in the opening of the den, then disappeared along with Cas. Focusing back on Molly, she listened to her instructions, pushing and whining as she went. Noises seemed to be her only way to cope with the pain.

Laek had finally made it through the process of birthing, and she was exhausted. She'd been tired when she first had come to the den, but she felt as if sleep couldn't help her right now. Her two pups were pushed to her side as the Head Healer cleaned up, and she gently nosed them to begin suckling. Glancing quickly at the apologetic Molly, she knew she'd given birth to a third pup. But that pup had no life to live, and Laek knew she'd lost him. She took a staggered breath and pulled back her ears in sadness, almost attempting to gulp down the disappointment that was rushing over her. But it could have been her exhaustion making this much worse to her mind. "It's...it's alright, Molly. There's nothing that was your fault." she answered quietly. It would be a bit before she got over it, but she knew she and her two living pups would be fine. With a soft whine, she leaned down to groom the little male and female.
