Forbidden Access (Open)

Chaos knew it was forbidden to enter the Banished Plains, but it was the only way to get away from the pack, to have some time on her own. Plus, she felt more comfortable there in the desolation than in the fading Silverlight. Blitz had been getting more and more stressed and worried, not to mention hopless, and she wanted to avoid the fact that he would eventually come to her for help. She didn't want to help anyone, she just wanted to be left alone, to be away from everyone. She hated other wolves, and if it wasn't for the sake of food and survival, she wouldn't have ever joined Silverlight in the first place. But then again, this pack was failing, the prey was leaving, they would all starve anyways.

So she wandered into the Banished Plains, her eyes examining the destroyed and dry terrain. There were reptiles here and there, and the scent of a few desert rodents, but she wasn't hungry at the moment. She was smart enough to eat before entering these lands. But Blitz hadn't approved her meal, so it was like she was basically stealing from the pack. Their stores were getting low, but Chaos didn't care. She was hungry, so she ate. End of story. She didn't care how pissed Blitz would be when he found out, not to mention when he found out she was here. But then again, he rarely ever examined the Bannished Plains, since there had been no banished wolves within the pack, so she figured she'd be safe for at least a little while. She sighed, heading towards a large tree in the center of some tall, brown grass, stopping beneath it and laying down, her head resting on her paws lazily.

Anxiously, the thick-pelted female paced the edged of Silverlight and the Banished Plains. Her eyes never left the sprawled black figure of Chaos. Like the churning, flighty movements of her body, Fallon's emotions were writhing. For most of the time she'd been a member of this pack, the wolfess had never met Chaos and only known about the membership of the other female through scent. While exploring the territory, the scent of the elusive black female had come up, and Fallon had decided to follow it. And here it ended, at the borders! Chaos had never left anyone in the pack with a good feeling, really, and Fallon could never come up with a reason why Blitz had allowed her in. Sometimes she did think he was too nice...

Never before had the female seriously considered that Chaos could be a threat to the pack. Never, up until this point. Entering the Banished Plains was a plain sign, too this wolfess who's world was divided into the two shades of black and white, of treachery, blatant disregard for the rules of the pack. If only Fallon had become closer with Blitz...she would feel more confident in sharing her fears and listening to his insight. But now, she had no clue what to do and could only fret and boil.

Chaos was no fool, it had been obvious that another female had been fumbling around following her. But she chose to ignore her, there was no point in attacking her. Sure, Blitz would be pissed when he found out she was here, but she didn't care. She'd dealt with an alpha's wrath before, she could do it again. Her tail flicked lazily as she relaxed, enjoying the peace with the exception of the female at the borders. But she knew that the new female wouldn't follow her out into the banished plains. After a while, she grew annoyed with the eyes that followed her.

"Are you going to run off to tattle on me or are you going to keep staring at me in that annoying manner?"

She asked, lifting her head to look back at Fallon, her ears pinned back in annoyance. She didn't rise, but remained laying where she was, her eyes on Fallon and her ears pinned back aggressively. She had no plans of talking with the female, nor did she plan on re-entering the lands anytime soon. Chaos wasn't known for her patience, nor her tolerance for others. She also hated to speak with others, something which she made very clear from the moment that she set foot in Silverlight lands, and outside of them.

Fallon had been agitated enough at Chaos' constant haughty aloofness, and her apathy toward the pack, and her slimy stench of arrogance, but the sound of Chaos' wretched voice sent the female into an automatic snarl. Still pacing the border and not taking her eyes off of the black wolf, Fallon answered in a hiss of contempt, "Which would piss you off more, gorgeous?" She was planning on doing both either way.

The wolfess was at her breaking point with Chaos. Something had to change, and as she'd watched and pondered and seethed from the border, Fallon decided that it would. Soon.

Chaos couldn't help but chuckle at the female's response. She continued to pay no mind in turning to look at Fallon, but instead stretched out in a laying position, resting her head on her paws lazily. She could care less what the female did, she just knew she couldn't fall asleep with the other female there. She doubted Fallon would attack her, but she trusted no one, not even Blitz, so she didn't trust this female. Her tail flicked bordly, her ear twitching as a fly landed on it.

"Careful, pup, if you were to offend someone that actually had skills, unlike yourself, you could lose your life behaving like that."

She said, closing her eyes and sighing softly. The heat of the sun was shielded from her by the tree she laid beneath, but there were no trees and shade at the border, so she wondered how long the female would foolishly linger before she realized the sun was only getting stronger and making the earth and atmosphere hotter. They were, after all, nearing the hottest part of the day, and Chaos would enjoy seeing the female's stubbornness make her incredibly uncomfortable.

Fallon snarled and continued proudly stalking the border. "It sounds as if you're implying you have skills," sneered the female, taking Chaos' comment as the threat it was meant to be. "You surely have done nothing to prove it yet, lazy cur. Unless, of course, your 'skills' consist of perfectly personifying a carcass. You've even got the smell down on that one." She stood still and scowled at the lounging black wolfess across the border. "You must be so proud of yourself."

The red and gray female walked back and forth a few more times, her passion slowly becoming more muted by the heat and Chaos's apathy. But her blazing hatred for the ratty was obviously not quelled. Fallon prepared to return to the trees of Silverlight, though she was not even near through trying to antagonize Chaos. It would just have to wait for another day.

Chaos chuckled slightly when the female spoke again. She had to hand it to the youngster, she really knew how to get herself into trouble. But she only yawned and rested her head on her paws. There was no point in wasting her precious energy in this terrible heat just to teach the pup a lesson. She remained where she was, listening to the other female stalk around on the border and feeling her glare at her.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to the pack, child? I'm pretty sure they're confused that your annoying voice has disappeared for so long."

She said, flicking an ear back towards the female but otherwise not moving. She was fairly sure the other female was too goody-goody to step into the banished lands, so she didn't bother moving at all or worrying about the effect of her comment. She sighed softly, laying out on her side and stretching before flicking her ear to rid it of an obnoxious fly that had landed on the tip.

Fallon gave Chaos one last haughty look, a promise that she'd be back to settle this later, and trotted back into the woods with her head in the air. One thing actually was accomplished by this meeting, even if Fallon believed justice had yet to be served on the black wolf: Fallon had resolved never to let herself become like Chaos. That meant being more loyal to the pack than she had been. The yearning for adventure, and her intense curiosity, had caused the wolf to wander more than she should have, and that was not a secret to anyone. Nor was it a secret that she loved this land and Blitz and Inferno. Now, like her challenge to Chaos, she had to get to work and prove it. One quick hunting trip, and then she'd be off to find the two males...and maybe, later, Chaos once more.

Chaos chuckled as the female turned and left. Finally. Peace and quiet. She sighed softly, stretching out and letting her eyes close as she drifted off into a light sleep. She could hear the wind rustling the grasses around her, and she could smell the males that approached the Banished Lands. But she chose to ignore it, instead sleeping peacefully in the new silence and isolation she found herself in. Soon she was dreaming, but not exactly peacefully. Then again, her mind never formed dreams that made sense, so she never bothered to consider them when she woke, which she did about half an hour later.

She yawned in slightly annoyance at the bird that had woken her, a sparrow that stood only inches away and chattered at her. She growled softly, swatting a paw at it as it jumped away, and then as she rolled onto her stomach, it flew off, avoiding her next attack that would surely be a deadly one.

A clean-picked rabbit corpse lay discarded behind Fallon as she made her way from the small clearing where she'd had her meal toward the scent of the two pack members she didn't hate. The males were making their way toward the border of the Banished Plains, it seemed. "How delightful," muttered the female to herself as she made her way toward the edge of the forest to wait for them. It was nice to think of seeing them again (how had they been apart for so long? was this land really so big?), but she was positive that black slug Chaos was still hanging around. Good food had picked up Fallon's spirits, and she wasn't exactly eager to have them hacked down by Chaos's presence just yet.

Through the glare of heatwaves, the large brute emerged, crossing the barren land at a rather sluggish pace fit for his thicker physique. It was unusual for others to be roaming around the vicinity, especially at this time of day. In fact you wouldn't usually catch Blaze up and about, however, the rogue male was rather curious as to who had taken root in these rather uninhibited lands. When the weather permitted it, smell traveled better in the heat than the cold, Blaze could faintly smell the different scents around him. Imagine his surprise when, while resting, the presence of another was detected.

Of course, being a natural loner he was never really interested in neighboring wolves, but perhaps the sound of a softer more feminine voice was adequate enough. Indeed it was, being rather intrigued Blaze had decided to check out what female presence was gracing his temporary home and with a huff of displeasure he arose and started off in the direction of said intruder.

When the distant waving image of a black figure came into view, Blazes' curious hazel eyes stared hard at the wolven figure. She was unmoving, telling him that either the female was asleep or dead. Ear swiveling the male took the necessary 3 seconds to decide what he wanted to do. And of course being Blaze he proceeded forward, but just until a decent view was established. The black female was awake by now, but didn't seem to be aware of his approach. She was too busy swatting away at a chirping bird. He could make out her features perfectly, and being satisfied with just that; he stopped in his tracks watching bird and wolf interact without a word or need to announce himself. His look was one of question as his scarred nostrils twitched at another attempt to get a better whiff of this stranger. Nothing personal was received, but he could pick up on the scent of the wolf pack that claimed the land nearby.

Hmm, so she was part of the pack. So what in God's name was she doing out here? Alone? Blaze smirked a little and continued to just... watch.

Chaos watched the animal fly away, snorting softly in acceptance as she yawned lazily. Then she seemed to realize how rediculous she looked, crouched in a seemingly playful manner as she watched a bird. She softly growled at herself, rolling back onto her side with a huff and letting her head drop down onto the grass. But just as she relaxed once more, a deep breath alerted her of another's presence, a male's presence. She sat up slightly, still laying down, however, her head turned towards the source of the scent and her ears perked. Then she spotted him, a large, powerful looking male that simply stood and stared at her. A rumbling growl escaped her jaws, a warning more than her normal viscious demeaner. She watched him silently, her nostrils flaring as she inhaled his scent and watched for even the slightest hint of movement.

She was not in pack lands, and it was obvious he knew she was a pack member, for why else would he seem so cautious in his observations? Plus, she was close to the pack lands, just outside of its borders and she knew her body reeked of the pack scent. She watched him cautiously, tense and unmoving as her eyes bore into his, waiting for something to happen, almost like a dangerous predator waiting to pounce. But she was in no position to do so, her back slightly turned towards him as she had turned her head quite a ways to get a look at him.

His sensitive ears picked up on her aggressive signal, but Blaze was in no way threatened. Here, she was on his turf, in his world, and she was the one who was out of place. To think she could bluff him, or perhaps she really thought she could do any damage, was slightly entertaining to the male and just like that, he had accepted her in his presence, averting his eyes and bowing his head to scratch his muzzle against the side of his leg.

When he looked up once more he slowly started to approach the shaded area, panting softly. When it came to strangers Blaze was one of few words, so first time meetings were always awkward and suspenseful. Just as now, when he stepped into the shade of the tree, he didn't bother to create a comfortable distance between himself and the female, instead he approached from behind and sniffed her backside. It was a action of retaliation, Blaze was telling her that she couldn't threaten him, and whatever she was doing wasn't working.

At this point he could smell the scent of the alpha, and being that it was so fresh, he had to wonder if she had just recently been exiled.

Chaos tensed even more as he approached, watching him cautiously and knowing that she could little to no damage if she did try to attack him. Yes, she had anger issues, but she was no fool. She watched him silently, her ears pinned back aggressively as he got within feet of her, and then inches. When he lowered his head to sniff at her, she snarled, spinning around so that her jaws were near his, not her backside. But this move wasn't an offensive one, it was more of a defensive move.

"Who the hell are you and what do you think you're doing?!?"

She demanded, taking a few steps back and looking up at him (because she was much, much smaller than him) snarling. Sure, she knew she couldn't hurt him, but that didn't mean that she was just going to roll over and put up with him. But, he now stood between her and the packlands. Her snarl intensified as she found herself considering running into the packlands for safety. She dismissed the thought, focusing her attention on the male once more, her fur bristling and her ears pinned back, her eyes flaming with anger..

Blaze jerked his head back as she turned and snapped on him, giving the female an odd look as if she was the crazy one. "You have nothing to fight for" he clearly stated, before taking a moment to relax his tense posture and seat himself. At that point in time his ears picked up on the rush of a flock of birds exiting the trees in the distance, allowing Blaze to realize that someone was nearing. His eyes squinted slightly as he peered around the female into the pack lands. He didn't have much time before whoever it was, arrived.

Looking back at the angered female he offered a smirk then nodded. "So why have you been banished" he inquired, not even half as interested in her story as he probably seemed. Blaze had never actually seen a wolf enter or exit the territory before, and in fact it had shown no life before today. The only thing that had alerted him, was the consistent marking of the territory. He often wondered and even doubted that anyone actually occupied the place.

Chaos growled as he spoke and sat. She stood to her full height, which was still much smaller than him, and pinned her ears back in annoyance. "I have not been banished." She growled, her tail lashing behind her as she spoke. She did not care who he was or what he wanted from her, and she did not care in the slightest whether or not he wanted to know anything about her. She growled once more, taking note of the approaching creature just as he did. "Leave me the hell alone." She growled, finally turning her back to him and walking in the opposite direction slightly towards the edge of the pack lands, but at a diagonal towards a thick patch of tangled weeds that cast a slight shadow on the ground beside it. When she reached it, she laid down once more, her ears pinned back and her back to the male. Sure, for any wolf that wasn't sure of their abilities and their ability to withstand an attack, this would be foolish, but she could care less.

She remained there, laying down with her head resting on her paws and her small body in the shade, relaxing and ignoring the presence of the male that had approached her. However, she remained awake, careful to make sure she knew where he was an whether or not he was getting closer to her. She wasn't tense, just simply annoyed that he still lingered, disturbing her peace and quiet, which was the reason she had come here in the first place.

'Oh my, looks like we got a feisty one here' Blaze thought to himself as the female made some sort of aggressive show out of herself. "A rebel?" he commented out loud, a rhetorical question, but he couldn't help the smirk that spread across his muzzle. She reminded him of his days of pack life and he had to wonder if she was truly like him or like the others who pretended not to care.

As she stalked off he studied her closely, remaining seated in the refuge of the shade. Eventually he laid down, keeping her company in an odd sort of way. He could see she was being wary of him though, keeping tabs on every breath he took and little twitch of the muscle. It was quite entertaining that he could evoke such suspicions and fear, and still get the 'bad ass' result. While the female kept tabs on him he was listening to the oncoming approach of her pack mates. He could hear the voices of two males and a female, and when they were as close as Blaze could handle, the large male finally stood.

"Something tells me I'll be seeing you around". He didn't say it loud, but he was sure it was good enough for the female to hear. With that he took one final glance at her then turned around and started to walk back across the banished plains. By the time her pack would arrive, he would be gone, disappearing into the heatwaves in the distance.

Chaos snarled as he spoke, glad to see him leave as Blitz, Inferno, and Fallon approached. Soon enough, Molly appeared, and the stupid little white healer pissed her off by stumbling clumsily too close. Therefore, Chaos snarled, snapping at her, careful not to hurt her physically, and growling in satisfaction as Molly scrambled backwards and fell over. Chaos tried her hardest not to laugh at the look of terror on the little white wolf's face, but soon her thoughts were interrupted as Blitz tackled her and pinned her down. She tried as hard as she could not to growl, remaining silent and even forcing a fake whine as Blitz snarled and held her muzzle firmly in his jaws. When he released her and told her to leave, she did so, growling under her breath and heading down the border a bit. She knew the pack would be heading to the dens, and when they left, she returned to the edge of the border, forcing herself to obey the alpha's demand that she stay out of the Banished Lands. She wanted to be as far from the pack as possible, and when she found a large, flat boulder that sat right on the border line, half in and half out of the lands, she laid right on top of it.
