Atrius the knowing

Appearance:
Atrius is a normal sized Gray Wolf.   A dark dome with a tannish brown muzzle and light flecks highlighting his fur. Knowing and soft amber-yellow eyes. The saddle of his body is a dark gray with a brown tint to it. Atrius' belly is a creamy tan and on the middle of his belly is almost white. Soft and thick fur make up his outer coat while soft downy almost make up the inner layer and on his belly. Large paws and  durable  yet rough and cracked claws make gripping surfaces very manageable. Sturdy, tough muscles that you can see bunch and pull under his skin like a well oiled machine made of flesh and bone.  

Personality:
Atrius is a kind hearted, thoughtful wolf. Never one for adventuring outside of his former pack’s territory and almost no thirst to be dominant, if forced into a dominant position he’ll go with the majority with voting; can’t take charge very easily. Atrius does not like fighting but he isn't a coward, if he must defend himself or any friend he should make he will. Generally quiet and observant he probably won’t ask for anything unless he needs it badly. Some wolves in his former pack including the alpha went to him for advice on multiple subjects for love to how to lead the pack. Atrius is a peaceful wolf by nature and will mind his own business. Though he’s quiet and reserved he is not cold and unfeeling; Atrius has a high empathy and sympathy level and will do many things to help. Atrius has considered becoming a healer before due to his advice giving skills, but he decided against it because he could not bear to have to tend bloody wounds and sicknesses and watching others die if he wasn't able to. Atrius is not a wolf of many words but when advice needs to be given or when help is needed he will oblige.

History:
Atrius was born to a loner mother and was one of two pups born, the other died soon after birth. Atrius’ mother joined a pack that was just starting out that needed numbers and hunters. The pup’s mother was killed in her weakened post-birth state by a caribou. The pack which consisted now of the alpha pair two females and another male were kind and took care of him until he was old enough to fend for himself.  The alpha male soon realized that Atrius was not going to challenge him for dominance and quickly promoted him to Beta. Having no interest in taking a mate at the time he shouldered being the only beta and was the one who gave the alpha advice. In Atrius’ first part of his second year a flood came and wiped out their meager territory. Finding none of his former pack members after searching for several weeks he set out on his own to hopefully find an area to call his own. Atrius has no desire to join another pack and lose them to, so for now he is a lone wolf and will probably stay that way his entire life; probably.
