Two [for] One BleuTablePic_zpse35a6615 She knew that he was upset, that he really didn't want to join Kachle, but she also knew that she wanted to. It didn't completely make sense, but she was very happy that he had agreed to go with her. She didn't know what she would have done if he told her no. There wouldn't be anything for her to do other than beg him or follow him should he change his mind. But as they began to reach the Hanging Valley Cliffs, she let herself relax slightly, knowing that it was a bit too late to turn back. She stopped at the border, not sure whether or not Coven and Molly would appreciate them just barging in. So instead, she lifted her chin, howling in hopes of one of them coming to the borders to greet them and with any luck, accept them into the pack.

After she finished her howl, she looked over at Bandit, licking his shoulder affectionately before sighing softly. "Thank you for coming with me, Bandit." She said softly, obviously still a bit worried that he'd snap at her again. She hated it when Bandit was unhappy, and she wanted him to enjoy being with her, and to trust her. But right now, she wasn't sure that he did.

Two [for] One Timberwolf01-093007

It was easy for Bandit to walk alongside his sister in silence. In fact, he was grateful that she remained quiet for the duration of their journey to the outskirts of the territory. It gave him time to think, of course, on things that he probably shouldn't have been dwelling on. It didn't help his mood that was for sure. Though seeing Bleu relax so suddenly as they ventured further and further away from the dens did help some. He was glad she felt better at having left to join Molly and Coven. At least she was happy and knew what she wanted. He on the other hand didn't particularly like any option presented to him so it hardly mattered at this rate.

As Bleu stopped at the newly marked boundary he sat and threw his head back to incorporate his own vocals into the mix so that they would know it was the both of them. There was a faint whine at the end of his howl, a protest to himself, it let on to the fact that he had no clue what he was really doing or if he even wanted to be doing it.

When Bleu addressed him he looked to his small sister with a stern expression. "I wouldn't leave you Bleu..." he said with a small sigh before licking the top of her head softly. "I always got your back". So suddenly images of their puppy days popped up in his head and a smile crept across his muzzle as he reminisced on all the fun they had and the trouble they got themselves into. With everything that was going on those memories seemed so distant and he wondered if they had outgrown their mischievous behavior.

Two [for] One BleuTablePic_zpse35a6615 Bleu smiled as her brother spoke and licked her head, making her close her eyes and enjoy the show of affection for a moment. But when she looked up and saw his smile, hearing his words 'I always got your back', she couldn't help but think of when they were pups as well. She had been such a terror back then, and he had been her partner in crime. She laughed softly, remembering all of the trouble they got into and all of the fuss they made. She had so much fun as a pup, wouldn't it be nice to be young and immature again? She sighed softly, reminiscing and waiting for a response to their howl.

She was sure that Molly would accept them, but if she had already given birth, then it wouldn't be the alpha female coming to meet them, it would be Coven. She frowned at the thought. They had harassed him quite a bit as pups, and she was sure that he wasn't too fond of them. She looked over at Bandit a bit nervously, showing that she wasn't all too sure what would happen when the alpha or another wolf showed up other than Molly. Her hopes at acceptance hinged on the alpha female, but if she didn't show, she wasn't sure what would happen.

PostSubject: Re: Two [for] One   Two [for] One EmptyTue Sep 25, 2012 7:11 am

((Khalessi/Inferno continued from here))

He fell into stride beside the white wolf, thoughts flashing to memories of a drained, almost debilitated Khalessi. He'd forgotten just how devoted the strong-willed wolfess could be. How sometimes her journeys went too far. At least she was ok with him sticking around, so if there in fact was something actually the matter Khalessi would have someone to watch over her if she keeled over. Preventing the keeling over wasn't in Inferno's power; Khal would have to let him know what was up and then be willing to slow down to mend the issue. And that just didn't really happen, anyone knew - especially Inferno, as he had the same problem.

The howl that cut the air was so unexpected that Inferno nearly jumped. With ears pricked forward, the male looked over toward the Cliffs just as a second, deeper - and less resolute - voice joined the first. Bleu and Bandit asking for acceptance into pack territory...another pack...on Silverlight territory? The young siblings had said goodbye to their parents and had not stayed with Pravin and had not joined Khalessi. Other small details clicked together to create a semblance of sense, and within seconds, Inferno had concluded that Coven was nearer than he'd thought.

The coppery wolf looked over at Khalessi and tilted his head just slightly - a question and concurrent suggestion communicated in the look. Why not let Coven come to them? ...well, to Bleu and Bandit. It was a gamble that he'd show up, that this interpretation of this scenario was correct, that they wouldn't be wasting time. But if the gamble worked out in their favor, then a lot of tedious, looping tracking time would be saved.

The black wolf froze mid-step. What? That thought encompassed everything Coven was thinking and feeling as Bleu's shrill twined with Bandit's grating bay barreled like stakes of granite through his eardrums. Honestly? He couldn't believe it, not for one second! that those two seriously had come back. Ok...he could oddly understand Bleu (and he oddly did not sustain the need to retch at that idea, knowing exactly how the wolfess could be of use), but Bandit...no way. The sign in the howl was faint, but the resignation and almost-dread echoed sharply in Coven's perception. Bandit was not joining. Bleu was a stretch, but Bandit was not joining.

He was still for a long time, just not having expected something like this, others asking to join this pack that had deliberately isolated themselves high in these treacherous peaks. With a low growl of frustration tinged with complain, the male lowered his raised fore-paw and scrambled down the cliff-sides and through the loose rocks to the source of the howls.

And there they were. His yellow eyes narrowed with deep suspicion, Coven appeared in front of the youth and carefully studied each one. His voice was teetering on hostile when he demanded, "What are you two doing up here?" Obviously, they thought they wanted to enter the mountains, the pack, and stay. The wolf was hoping they'd take this escape option and just answer with some excuse for being out here, like that they'd gotten lost or something. He'd totally smile and send them off without any thought to how lame of a story it was.

Two [for] One BleuPostPic
Bleu tensed slightly when Coven appeared instead of Molly, her ears flattening to the sides submissively and her tail lowering as well. It was obvious he wasn't pleased to see them, and that was potentially dangerous for them. But that didn't mean that Bleu was going to do exactly what he wanted, which was likely to turn around and leave. "We want to join your pack." She said, her voice confident. It was obvious that her stubbornness wasn't going to give in on this one, and she looked up at Coven, having no intention of backing down and leaving.

She took a slow, deep breath and then glanced at Bandit, hoping that he wasn't going to say anything to piss Coven off or hurt her cause. She adored her brother, but she knew that he wasn't very fond of being here. "Did Molly have the pups yet?" She asked curiously, her ears perking slightly in interest. However, when she realized they had, she lowered them submissively again, smiling almost apologetically to the alpha. She knew that Molly would need more than just a few males in the pack, and she was beginning to believe that Coven understood that too. Plus, having Bandit around would help protect them as well. Why not let them in? They were over their mischief phase by now, but she didn't think that he believed that, and she wasn't surprised that he was not happy about this situation.

PostSubject: Re: Two [for] One   Two [for] One EmptySat Oct 06, 2012 2:46 pm

The white huntress paused in her movements lifting her head with ears perked as she listened to the call. The voices were faintly familiar but nothing she could recall from the graveyard. They were young, which meant it had to be two of the three yearlings that hadn't joined Khalessi at the grave site. As they quieted she turned her attention to Inferno and caught his questioning look. She shook her head in slight rejection. "Coven has a potential target on his back that I'm sure he is aware of. I'm going to assume his clan might be a bit overcautious at the moment. And there is nothing more dangerous then a group of overcautious wolves. I rather have the element of surprise and catch him alone". Besides, Khalessi hardly had the strength to face a bunch of them should they attack for no reason, let alone one of them. "We'll wait for the pups to leave". She said calmly before slinking forward into the brush. There was a slightly hesitation in her step but she shook her head quickly and continued forward.

As they waited for Coven to arrive Bandit hunkered down at an attempt to make himself appear smaller than he really was. When the black wolf finally did make an appearance it took a lot for Bandit not to scoff at him. Hadn't their call said it all?

/Not as smart as he looks...and that's saying something/ he thought quietly to himself while rolling his eyes in his sisters direction.

Bandit was more than content to stay quiet for this little exchange and let Bleu do all the talking. He wasn't exactly how sure of himself he would be should Coven directly ask him something or make some sort of snide remark as he used to do when they were pups. For now, however, Bandit remained in his 'inferior' position and pretended not to be there.

The black wolf narrowed his yellow eyes and advanced a step forward. "You'd better lay down about a million really good reasons for you wanting to stay here," hissed the male softly, landing a heavy glare on Bandit. Though he so greatly disliked Bleu, it was true that she could be an asset, and Molly would be the one dealing with her anyway. But Bandit...that was a whole other issue, and both males knew it. The alpha had no qualms in rejecting either or both of these pups, obviously, so he was expecting a lot.

Inferno nodded and silently followed Khalessi to wait. Her reasons for holding out for now were sound, though once the Krajina members showed up, Coven could probably start to figure out that there wasn't a ton to fear right now. A wolf needn't have Inferno's obsessive diligence in order to successfully track Coven, but Xerxses, who had declared himself the alpha's biggest threat, hadn't yet tried to come up here. If that wasn't happening now, Coven would most likely not have to worry about it for a bit...because Khalessi had promised that she wasn't planning on starting anything.

After a moment of walking, gaze flicking every now and then to the white wolfess, Inferno asked, "Are you doing alright, Khalessi?" He glanced at their surroundings and slowed down a bit in a wordless suggestion to pause; this was a good place to stop and wait for Coven to finish dealing with the pups, and rest would hopefully help strengthen the Krajina alpha.

Once it was confirmed that Khalessi was going to be ok, and once they stopped, wherever that would be, Inferno'd be able to look around and appreciate how lucky he was that the Eastern Forest was his new home. The beauty and vantage of the Mountains rivaled that of the Ridge which Inferno loved so much, but some snow had never melted from many of the mountain peaks. With how much Inferno hated winter - snow was almost just as bad as water - living up here and having to endure the deep snow drifts constantly, not just on patrols, would be torture.

Bleu couldn't help but growl at Coven's response, an automatic reaction that she did nothing to hide. Instead she glared at the large black male, her tail flicking behind her but her posture remaining intelligently submissive. "He's my brother. He promised not to leave me." She said, bordering on a growl, which she managed to silence, barely. "Plus, the fact that you need males to protect your mate and pups is no mystery to anyone. You could use him." She said, glancing over at Bandit before looking back at Coven.

"Molly must have had her pups by now. What will you do if she gets sick? With no one to feed them, they'll die. Without someone to heal Molly, she'll be unable to feed your pups. You need me. But I don't come without Bandit." She said, sitting down shifting her weight in Bandit's direction slightly. If her brother was turned down, she wasn't going without him, but she hoped that he wouldn't be. And she was right, Bandit would another strong male to protect Molly and the pups, not to mention her as well.

"Pup," snarled the male fiercely, snapping his jaws threateningly, "Shut up. I have no need of anyone - including you - who cannot prove undying loyalty to this pack. If Bandit can't tell me for himself why I can't live without him in this pack and why he desperately needs and wants to be here, then I don't want him. End of story." The wolf laid his ferocious gaze on Bandit for a second before warning Bleu, "You mouth off one more time about what and who I 'need', you walk away with your mute brother here." It was true that at least Bleu could potentially be useful, but unless she got more intelligent about figuring out here place in regards to Coven, the alpha would be more than happy to chase both the whelps off. This pack didn't need simply physical offerings of submission: the members' minds and hearts had to be in it, too. Bleu and Bandit were both failing.

Bandit's ears perked at the sound of Coven's snarl and he finally looked to the black wolf with his full attention. The insults, he found, were extremely unnecessary almost as if Coven was trying to piss him off. He wouldn't let Coven get to him. Not yet anyways, but if Coven wanted him to talk so badly, he would oblige.

"Let's get one thing straight. I am not desperate to be in this pack nor do I need to be. I'm sure I would be much better off a part of one that is less vulnerable and is less hated among the others. It makes for a poor start if you ask me."

Bandit stood as he finished no longer finding the need to appear small now that Coven had so willingly threatened his sister. "You know, it's funny Coven, I assumed you would be a horrible candidate for the position because of the grudge you hold from a few pranks done to you by of all wolves....pups. Now I see that it's much deeper than that.

Ironic how you can stand there and demand undying loyalty when you couldn't even provide it to your own pack. Murdered your last alpha and left everyone else in confusion and despair if I do recall correctly."

The words had been said with arrogance, and though Bandit did not see it this way, he understood that Coven could receive it as a potential challenge. Bandit's intentions did not include usurping Coven's new throne, but now that he was calling out the male on his bullshit Bandit found himself getting increasingly angry. His head lowered slightly as a growl emitted from his jowls when he spoke.

"How dare you question my ability to provide undying loyalty when I considered them -including you- family long before 'this pack' was even established; or have you already forgotten your previous origins? So you see.... my loyalty far surpasses yours on any given day!"
